Practice Director

Michael is a local, having lived in the    Baw Baw region for 20 years. He is a      university qualified and PACFA Provisionally Registered Counsellor (#26956), with specialisations in drug & alcohol addiction, adolescent self-harm & suicide management and men’s  mental health.


Michael is a VIT Registered Teacher with 17 years experience working in a variety of settings. He has spent the majority of his career working with at-risk and vulnerable young people. Michael has developed and run outdoor-based therapeutic and wellbeing programs for many years.

The importance of young men speaking up when they aren’t travelling so well cannot be understated, as such, GOTYA provides a counselling model that is accessible, down-to-earth and relevant to adolescent and young-adult males.

Michael’s passion is to provide a specialised service for blokes to support them in navigating the complex world they find themselves in.
