What

This Program allows young people on a Youth Order to:

  • Re-connect positively with the community

  • Learn practical, real-world skills

  • Develop employability skills

  • Develop interpersonal skills

GOTYA offer hands-on, meaningful practical community projects with various government and private partner organisations. 

Aims

GOTYA CEP looks to:

  • Improve employability

  • Build self-confidence

  • Develop and build resilience

  • Develop team work

Examples

  • Construction of bench seats/tables

  • Pedestrian bridge building

  • Brushcutting in picnic grounds

  • Remote Area Cemetery maintenance 

  • Weed spraying

  • Fencing

  • Planting

  • Bushfire recovery works

  • Tree planting

Group Size

  • 2-6

Referral Process - DOJCS

Any young person wishing to participate in this program as part of a Court-imposed Order must be referred by their DOJCS Youth Justice Worker.
